Farwell to a great friend

Sad news this morning our good friend Skip Baldwin pass on this morning. Skip was the mentor for alot of the great Guides & fisherman along the Oregon-California Coast, his knit picky ways put him in the Master Guide List as well as any Professional list that you could come up with. Those of us that were close to him knew him as a hard charging Guide with a very aggressive stlye, which made him what he was. We all shared in the good times and the bad times, but one thing for sure that I'll always remember is Skip on the oars in the drift boat saying with a hard voice & a grin "Butt that fish Boss, or I'll butt it for you" I'll miss you good friend and tight lines..........................

They dont have have Steelhead in Park City

We have had a wild couple of day's with Amy & Tim, what a great couple, Tim is a great fly fisherman from Montana, and Amy is his new love. Steelhead fisherman they are both of the same mold, water condition's were not the best of choice, and the temps were not the best of choice, but we did get 12 to the boat in the two days. Long range forcast looks to be bare for any rain with daytime temps warming a little, with the Rogue on the fall, we should be getting the drift boats out soon. If your tired of laying around when you should be out trying to catch a fish for the BBQ, hey give us a call and we will make it happen. Good luck to my new friends in Montana and we at "fishing with the Boss" are really looking forward fishing them again, it would not surprise me seeing them on an Alaska Adventure..........

Steelhead on the Chetco with a little HAM.....

We continue to catch some very nice fish on the Chetco, Wild & Hatchery, the water conditions as of this posting are almost perfect , there was a little snow and cold temps for the last few days with a couple of days forecast with more cold mornings, but the fishing is good with the water just starting to clear a little , get in on this fishing, this is great side drifting water. The Rogue River continues to kick out fair numbers of Winter Steelhead, the water this moring was 12,700 CFS and falling, but looking real good, powerboat fishing at its best , see you soon Ron B
