Oregon Steelhead Fishing
The Southern Oregon's Wild River's Coast is a
Winter and Summer Steelhead dream, we have the finest Summer Steelhead fishing for 1/2 pounder's available anywhere, with well over a 1/4 million annually, and will fish in the Wild & Scenic U.S. Forest Service permitted area of the Rogue.
Winter Steelhead
numbers are some of the best around , great plug fishing on a number
of river's. Winter and Summer fish leave the saltwater
and return to the
Oregon Rivers.
Once they are acclimated in
freshwater, these adult Steelhead are on the move
upstream. They will run
the currents, run from predators and
take the fisherman’s bait
with aggression, now the Steelhead
begin to change. By the time they
get to the spawning grounds Steelhead
change from the chrome and
dark colors they had at
sea. Now there backs
are green, their bellies turn dark and
they have a light
red stripe. When spawning is
done, the
Steelhead that have the strength to return to the ocean
will return to
spawn again, a Steelhead doesn’t die after
spawning, as Spring and Fall Chinooks Salmon do.
Winter Steelhead fishing for 7 to 18 pound Steelhead
get ready to make your Oregon Steelhead Fishing Trip one to remember, we fish from drift boats on the short rivers of the Elk River, Sixes River and Chetco River, and Powerboats when Rogue River fishing, this is Oregon Steelhead fishing at its best. Side drifting and plug fishing are the methods of choice for Oregon Winter Steelhead. We offer three runs of salmon and two runs of steelhead per year!!

Oregon Salmon Fishing
With large returns of Fall King Salmon. Fall King Salmon fishing is readily available here. Good Southern Oregon Salmon Fishing can be expected 9 months a year. Southern Oregon salmon fishing river's have annual returns, not counting ocean harvest (of 20% plus) of over 650,000 returning Fall King Salmon. Making Southern Oregon Salmon fishing opportunities a fisherman's vacation paradise. This is how it works with salmon and steelhead, imagine yourself on a long flat of water , rod lays down flat pinned to the side of the boat, reel singing, ripping line the strike, the fish jumping out of the water ,we net the fish, let's do it again, there's another...grab the rod...
